No, I didn't know that about you, Katie! I used to love playing guitar (such as you could call it "playing") and now it's been in its dusty case for years!! For a while I thought it'd be easier to play ukelele, but then mine broke. Thanks for sharing your inspiration. Would you like a classical guitar to practice on? We could try Git-Uke duets. Even though I was one of the ones in the basement and helped come up with that August date, 2009 would be better for us. We still have so much to do inside and around the house. Also, the thought of any length of a road trip with Bennet (our almost two-year-old) just sounds like complete torture! I, of course, say that with all the love in my heart!

I've been reflecting on the proposed Karlin reunion date of August 2008 in the context of so many of us having various travel plans already in place for other months this year. Perhaps maybe we need to set a date much farther out than was originally thought. What about some time next summer, 2009? That way more of us could schedule around a new date and be better able to save & travel.

I know (brother) John's family has a wedding in Kansas in July this year... the Allens will be in Europe for a month in April, this year.

Would more of you be better able to travel next summer --2009-- to Kansas, or would more of you prefer to go ahead with this summer?

As for Laura & me, we would be better able to come in 2009 (with Laura chiming in, "more for $$ reasons than for timing"). Our children Sarah, Anna, Katie & Peter also think next year would be better for them (with an "either way" vote from Katie).

I'd be willing to be on the reunion committee. With enough notice, we could probably reserve a fairly good sized park shelter at one of the county parks (this would provide room for plenty of activities)-
